Monetize Your Blogs and You Can Make Money Blogging
Article by Brian Stephens
Many people use blogs to write about their personal experiences, to communicate with their friends and family, especially if they live far away and of course to promote products and services. That is why some people consider them as an on-line journal or diary and others as a very effective marketing tool.
What anyone writing a blog should know however is that with a few very simple steps they could actually start to earn an income from their blog and it doesn’t really matter if it is a private journal or diary type blog or a blog being used specifically to promote products and services, the process is the same. It actually doesn’t take much effort to do this either and is very simple to set up, especially if you are using perhaps Googles’ Blogger or WordPress to publish your blogs.
So what are the steps you need to take to monetize your blog.
Advertising
There are a number of sites that desperately want to use your blog to place their ads and they are prepared to pay you for the privilege, probably the best known company that does this is Google using their Adsense campaigns. You will need to register with these companies and set up an account which tells them how they can pay you, who you are and where you live etc. But once that is done its just a question of following a few simple instructions for activating their ads on your blog. Adsense pays you every time their advert is clicked on, but don’t be tempted to click on your own ads as you will find yourself very quickly banned from participating in the program.
Affiliate Relationships
Plenty of companies are seeking affiliate relationships either directly or through affiliate marketing companies. Affiliate Window is a good example of a company that operates out of the UK and can help you apply for and arrange affiliate agreements with many different online businesses very often with a traditional high street presence as well, people like B&Q, John Lewis, Boots the Chemist and so on. Typically you can place what are called advertising banners on you blog or if you find that too intrusive is can be a simple link that contains a reference back to you as the source of the traffic you send their way. If people buy products after visiting their site from your link then you will receive some commission.
Text Linking
This is an even simpler method of advertising, what happens in this instance is the company (once you have copied their code to your blog) analyzes your posting and identify what they call key words or phrases. They highlight these words and phrases and turn them into a hyperlink that takes your visitor to a sponsored site offering products or services related to that term, but only if your visitor clicks on the link. Again you can earn money from the number of clicks that are made from your site. This is probably the least intrusive method as they are actually using the words you have written and embed the advert within those words. Konterra is an example of a company that operates in this way.
Of course traffic (or visitors) to your blog is the key to earning reasonable money, so if you are getting lots of traffic already and want to earn some money from all those people visiting your blog then it really doesn’t take much effort.

Monetizing Your Blog
Article by koolkid
A question that is often asked, is “How can I make Money with a Blog?”. AdSense and other CPC programs is the answer you will most likely get. However, for new blogs that have just been created and have little traffic and a small reader base, AdSense is often not a very lucrative venture In these situations, the best way to make the most money out of your blog, is through directly advertising web sites and businesses. This may take a bit more work than just setting up a Google AdSense or other PPC or affiliate program account and then copying the code into the code of your blog, but you earn much more this way and it is definitely worth the hard work.
However, with the launch of Blog Advertising Networks, the process of getting advertisers for your blog has become much easier. Services such as InBlogAds.com will have listings of dozens of advertisers who want to advertise on blogs. You simply create a blog post about the company and business and InBlogAds takes care of the rest. They read over your post and approve it and then you will be paid for your work. For the typical new blog, it can take more than a month to earn just a measley ; however with new programs such as InBlogAds, bloggers can earn per blog post for less than 5 minutes a post. Even of you only spend 5 minutes a day on these pots, you can earn 0 a month with your blog. If you are willing to spend more time and make more than one post daily or run multiple blogs, you can earn well over 00 a month or ,000 a year for less than

Everyone wants to make an extra paycheck online these days. One of the bests ways to do so is by creating a blog that can generate income. How do you make a blog that can earn a hefty paycheck?
1. Content is King – The top priority should be creating content that is worth reading. If you write blog posts that are worth reading people will come back to your blog over and over. You will be able to build a following, so that when you have something to say there will actually be people who read it. Choose a blog topic you enjoy and focus in on that topic. Do not write a financial blog one day and a cooking blog the next. Hone in on different aspects of your main topic. For example, I enjoy blogging about online business. It’s a subject people are interested in because everyone wants to make money and also there are a great number of subtopics within online business.
2. Spread the Word About Your Blog – If you are simply making blog posts and nothing else, you are not doing enough. Submit your blog to search engines. Post twitter messages about your blog updates. Join blog directories that will catalog your blog. Blog Catalog and My Blog Log are both great blog directories that can connect you with other bloggers who share similar interest. Within such blog directories you will be able to join communities and add contacts, which will allow your blog more exposure.
3. Monetize Your Blog – If you are attracting followers and getting decent web traffic for your blog, but making no money, then you are wasting an opportunity. With a captive audience reading your blog there is an opportunity to place ads and affiliate links, which relate to your blog subject. For example, if you write a dating tips blog you could place an affiliate link to Match.com. You are providing people the service of giving them a quality reference. If they visit and make a purchase then you will receive a cut of the profits. Google Adsense allows you to place ads that are related to the subject matter of your blog. Utilize these tools to start creating income as you blog.
4. Do Something Every Day – Persistence and effort are necessary if you wish to make a substantial income as a blogger. Generating adequate traffic takes time and requires you to place your blog link all over the web. Link exchanges, comment posts, message forums, and article writing can all be used as ways to place a link back to your blog. If you take the time to do something each day with the purpose of promoting your blog, eventually you will have made something that can generate income.
Blogging is a great way to express yourself and share ideas with others. Most people are casual bloggers who will never make a dime from their posts. You can be different with a bit of extra effort and persistence. Good luck.

Monetize Your Blog With AdBrite
Article by Mason Russell
If you have a blog then you should think about monetizing it with AdBrite. You put a lot of time and effort into your blog and you deserve to make a little money from it. As with any form of advertising, the best way to attract and keep readers is to constantly update your blog with quality and unique content.
What is AdBrite?
AdBrite is very similar to Google Adsense in that it places ads on your site based on the content. The ads can be either PPC (pay per click) or CPM (paid per 1000 impressions). One of the really nice things about AdBrite is advertisers can actually target your website to have their ads placed there. One of the major advantages AdBrite has over Google Adsense is there is no minimum payout like the 0 Google minimum so it is much easier to get paid.
Advantages over Adsense
Other than the fact there is no minimum payout, you can also reject and approve ads that you do not want to appear on your site. This is very beneficial to those bloggers that want full control over the ads. Also, you can use AdBrite along with Adsense. AdBrite has a feature that will allow you to set up the minimum amount per 1,000 impressions and it will display your Adsense ad unless it can beat that payment amount. If AdBrite can beat the Adsense payout then the AdBrite ad will be shown. In addition, it adds an Advertise Here link at the end of the ad so advertisers can directly advertise on your site.
Conclusion
You definitely should consider AdBrite when monetizing your blog. Remember, using AdBrite does not mean you can’t use Adsense. In fact you should be using the two together to keep you the most possible return for your site.

Blogging For Profit : How Passion Can Fill Your Pocketbook
Article by Zornitza P. MacKinnon
If you are really, really passionate about something, be it cooking, politics, auto repair, fly fish lures or even worm farming; you can turn that passion into profit with a blog. Blogging for profit is a relatively new phenomenon but it is growing fast thanks to two things. Access to the internet is now truly global and still growing bringing in millions of new users each year. Add to this huge market, blogging platforms that are SEO friendly and do not require any technical skills to run and you have a perfect mix for a passionate blogger to be heard.
And here is the really cool thing. You can do this and make a couple of extra bucks a month or you can replace your day job. It is really all up to you and how much you want and how much time you have to devote to it.
And I was serious about blogging about any subject. When you have an audience in the billions there are at least a few people out there who have the same interest as you do. For example did you know that the phrase worm farming is searched over 12,000 times a month? Worm farming, go figure. So the lesson here is whatever your interest there is a way to get visitors and if you can get visitors you can make some money.
So how can you do that? Well it really depends on what your motivation is. If you look at the blog as a hobby, something that you really enjoy but do not want to put more than a few hours a week into, and it would be nice to make some extra cash each month but you are not counting on it, then running simple to install contextual ads like Google Adwords or Amazon.com network is probably the best bet.
With AdWords Google will run text ads that are closely tied to the text on the page. When a person clicks on that ad you get paid. It may not be much or it could be substantial, it all depends on the subject of your content. If you are blogging about pharmaceuticals for coronary patients you are going to get Adwords that pay more because they are very competitive. If your subject is dog training, not so much.
With Amazon your visitor has to click through and actually buy something and then you get a commission. The plus side of these two is that they are fire and forget. You put them on the site and then never have to touch them again. The down side is there is not a lot of money to be made.
If you want to get serious about blogging for profit there is a couple of things you need to do. First you are going to have to learn a little search engine optimization. If you are using WordPress for your blog this is already done for you. You will have to learn basics for keyword research so your articles will rank in the search engines and drive traffic to you.
But most importantly, you have to deliver that passion you have for the subject. You have to provide that visitor with value. You want them coming back again and again. One way to do that is give away free information using an auto responder program. Put together a little 4 page report and tuck in onto a password protected page. Then offer it to your visitors in return for them giving you their name and email address. You email them the URL and the password and bingo, you have the start of a list and the money is in the list.
Using that list you can send more good information and become a trusted source. You can also provide links to products you have or promote. This is where the money really is.
Just always remember that blogging for profit does not mean your ultimate job is marketing. Your ultimate job is to give value and build credibility with your visitor.

Why Monetize Your Blog?
Article by Horst Graebner
Blogging has become a new international pastime. It is a way to keep up with family and friends, share your opinion with others and make a difference in the global community. Also, your blog can become a way to supplement or create a major stream of financial support for you.
Well, the first thing you have to have to make money this way is a blog. Blogs were first of all online journals. They still are because you post articles most days of the week and they are kept in reverse chronological order. But, blogging is now so much more.
The Dilemma
Some people are conflicted when it comes to blogging. You do it because you love it but it does take up a lot of your time. If you are a stay-at-home parent or someone who is out of work for one reason or another, blogging can be a great outlet. Over time, though, you may start to wonder how such an enterprise can make you a little change at the same time.
If you are building a following, your readers may resent you turning your good thing into a model of capitalism. What they don’t understand is that there are ways to make money from your blog without changing the basic feel of your blog. You won’t be asking your fans to give up their hard-earned money as much as you will be offering them opportunities that they can find elsewhere on the Web. At least with you, they know that you will recommend advertisers and products that you trust.
Making the Decision
It is not an easy decision to arrive at, but monetizing your blog can be a great financial relief. Now, seeing five-figure profits take a lot of time and commitment, but it can be done if that is your goal. Very few people get to make money doing something that truly interests them. Usually you have to quit your job to do that.
Once you make the decision, the hard part is over. Now, your efforts will be geared towards getting things into place for your new online venture. At the same time, you’ll need to keep your existing audience happy. While there may be complaints about your new approach, you probably won’t see a mass exodus of readers.
The Pep Talk
Okay, you have made the decision and are looking for ways to generate income from your blog. But, just in case you begin to flounder, here are some of the reasons you considered:
New source of income doing something you feel is worthwhileMore blog trafficGreater sphere of influence in online circles
Monetizing your blog is not a sin or a hypocritical move. It makes perfect sense if you spend a lot of time blogging and have gained a following.

Monetize Your Blog – Sell Banner Ads
Article by Lilly Simpson
There are different ways in which you can go about in monetizing your blog. The most popular way in monetizing a blog is to sell banner ads and other ad space. You can make a lot of money with this concept alone due to the fact that most banner ads usually have a price per thousand times it’s shown on the site. Banners are a magnet when it comes to what people look at on websites. They attract a person’s interest as soon as they get on the page.
Sell Banner Ad Space
One of the best ways to monetize your blog is to sell banner ad space. If your blog is generating a lot of traffic, many website owners will be very willing to pay you a fee for putting their information in front of your readers.
Types Of Ads To Avoid
Most people tend to think that flashy ads would attract others into clicking their banners, but in actuality, it keeps them from clicking. No one wants to be bothered with something flashing all the time on their screen. That makes them want to refresh the page so a non-flash banner will show up. Most people are irritated by the popup and popunder ads and will leave a website if there are too many. Be careful with the page peel ads so that they do not get in the way of your visitor everytime they use the scroll bar at the top. It may be better to put them on the left side of the page instead of the right side.
Best Sizes
After concluding that you want to sell banner ads, you need to think of a size that would be best for your site. Most people go with ads that are 125 x 125 in size or 468 x 60. The best way in determining the best banner advertisement size is to go about in resizing the banner to see if there’s a noticeable change within the pixels or not. If the picture looks distorted, you’ll need to resize accordingly. The banners should naturally fit the pages content too, so it doesn
